In all my years coaching at this level I have never seen a batting display like we saw tonight.

We won the toss, opted to bat with Adi and Harshil opening. After 4 overs we had scored 62 against 2 County bowlers. Adi 36 from just 10 balls including 7 fours and a 6 with Harshil 22off 14 with 3 fours and a six destroyed the bowling. There is no other description. Anything short was brutally punished and it was the finest display of hitting I have seen at U12 level.
Jack 11 off 8 and Will 22 off 16 bowled once for our only dismissal both batted well and continued the momentum. In any other situation we would be saying how outstanding they had done but following the opening pair was impossible. That said I was delighted that they both played their own games. Jack pushing the ball around hitting the bad ball and Will whacking anything in his area.
Will 20 off 12 and Luke 16 off 12 were then superb both seemed to be trying to out do the other! It was left to Ram 9 from 9 and Krish 14 from 15 to finish off the innings in style. Everyone hit at least one boundary tonight and whilst the Saints side comprised several U11s they are mostly County / District standard.
It was always going to be an impossible chase for Saints but they put up a strong effort. We bowled well with wickets for Harshil 1-12, Jack 1-6, Krish 2-4 and Adi 2-9. Will took 2 good stumpings so all in al it was a great team performance.
