Another really good performance from the team on Thursday as we defeated a Haddon team packed with talent.

We lost the toss and were invited to bat with Harshil Kshatri 16 from 19 and Sam Yardley 5 from 5 leading the way and setting the tone.
Next up were Will Gibson 13 from 16 and Connor Westland 3 from 8. At times this pair looked amazing and Will hit some superb shots, but they also had some questionable shot selection resulting in 4 wickets. as such the partnership did not yield the runs it should have done.
Ali McLaughlin 12 off 10 and Rajan 4 off 14 kept the board moving although a miscommunication did result in a run out.
Our final pairing of Krish Bhatt. 21 off 13 and Luke Phipps 11 off 11 though really took the bowling to task. Krish batted beautifully stroking the ball all around the ground whilst Luke showed a perfect example of supporting a partner in form with quick singles from placing the ball into gaps. We finished on 323-5.

A good score but we knew Haddon were very capable. The Haddon openers got off to a good start but Luke 1-8 and Sammy 1-13 off 3 bowled with real pace to put us in a strong position. Harshil was miserly in his 3 overs taking 2-2 as was Connor who had similar figures in his 2 overs. Will picked up 1-4 and there were some outstanding chances the highlight being Sam Yardley with a diving catch as the ball came over his shoulder. Will took a great catch at backward point too.

Haddon ended up on 289-8 and our final score was 363-5 a convincing victory. Still unbeaten as we head to the latter part of the season.
